Realme is a relatively new smartphone company. The first Realme smartphones came out in 2018 and now the OPPO subsidiary sits comfortably in the top 5 smartphone vendors in India as of Q1 2020.

The fact that Realme is new means that many people who purchase Realme phones are not familiar with the company’s software update policy. It is for this reason that many often find themselves asking for clarifications from Realme staff.

The company in January confirmed that Realme X2 and Realme X2 Pro owners can rest assured knowing Android 11 update is guaranteed. The two are among select Realme handsets that receive two OS updates, but others will only get a single OS update.

Joining the Realme X2 Pro and co. in receiving two major Android OS updates is the Realme Narzo 10. Unveiled a few days ago, the Narzo 10 is powered by Android 10 out of the box and naturally, potential buyers want to know how long the device will be supported.

In response, Realme India CMO Francis Wang has confirmed that the Realme Narzo 10 Android 11 update (Realme UI 2.0) is coming. Since this will be the first major OS upgrade for the handset, you can rest assured that the Realme Narzo 10 Android 12 update (Realme UI 3.0) is also guaranteed.

It remains to be seen whether the entry-level Realme Narzo 10A is among the select devices that get updated twice or it will fall in the latter bracket. Hopefully, the former case prevails.

FYI, Realme is already working on the Realme Android 11 update (Realme UI 2.0). Matter of fact, development started way back in March, but it is only last week that Realme X2 Pro owners were invited to try the new OS ahead of the official availability.

It is also likely that the Realme Narzo 10 Android 11 update could hit the beta channel sooner than later. If interested, you can check out details of if and when the OS will roll out for your Realme device here.
