Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 8 Pro back in August 2019 with Android 9 Pie out of the box and it was for months, the users were waiting for the Android 10 update, which was finally released right at the end of February.
Notably, the update first hit the units in Russia and some other European markets with February 2020 security patch and was a “beta stable” update meant for select users of the Redmi Note 8 Pro.
A few weeks later, the Android 10 stable update was officially pushed for the devices across the globe. However, there were several users of the Redmi Note 8 Pro that claimed to have not received the update.
Later it was revealed by Xiaomi that the update was released partially in select regions and has been halted. But, recently it was reported by one of Xiaomi’s executives that the Android 10 update for the Redmi Note 8 Pro is due to be re-released this month.
While there are no signs of the official Android 10 update for the Redmi Note 8 Pro, users can take advantage of the open-source nature of Android and flash an Android 10 based custom ROM on their devices.
