Poco F1 (Pocophone F1) get official AOSiP & ColtOS 6.0 Android 10 custom ROM support

Poco F1 was a pretty hot topic at the beginning of this year, as there were several rumors and information related to the next-gen (now released) Pocophone coming up.

Eventually, Poco X2 was released and Poco separated its base of operations from Xiaomi and became an independent brand. Furthermore, just recently, Poco F2 Pro (rebranded Redmi K30 Pro) is also launched with all the high-end specs, one would expect out of a Pocophone.

Well talking about updates, the device has already grabbed the Android 10 update, and just to bring to your notice, it will be the last major firmware update, Poco F1 will receive.

As Android is an open-source platform, developers jumped to build custom ROMs for the phones to provide more features to the users of the Poco F1. And as per new reports, two custom ROMs based on Android 10 is now available for the Poco F1.

The AOSiP and ColtOS 6.0 custom ROM has brought their support for the Pocophone F1. For those who are interested in flashing either of the custom ROMs on their Poco F1, it goes without saying that you need to have an unlocked bootloader in order to install them.

Here are the installation procedures of both the custom ROMs:

AOSiP

Before we go ahead with the installation procedure, let us take a look at the changelog of the AOSiP custom ROM based on Android 10:

Now once you are done with going through the changelog, follow the steps below to grab the custom ROM file as well as the installation procedure:

Download ROM:
– Stock Variant
– GApps Variant

1. Make sure that you have an unlocked bootloader.
2. Note that you should be running a firmware from an Android 10 based MIUI build.
3. Now flash the zip with TWRP, and fastboot images.
4. Notably, GApps are included in the GApps variant of the AOSiP ROM build.
5. Reboot into the system.
6. That’s it!

Instructions:
1. Make sure to verify that you have the latest version of TWRP.
2. You have to now perform a full wipe of the data. A full wipe is when you wipe System + Data + Cache + Dalvik ART Cache.
3. Notably, the ROM is inclusive of latest firmware, No need to flash separetly
4. Flash the latest version of the ColtOS ROM.
5. Flash the GAPPS (optional).
6. Reboot.
