Right, when we were approaching the end of April, Black Shark pushed the Android 10 (JoyUI 11) update for its 2019 launched gaming phone, the Black Shark 2.

Black Shark is a gaming-smartphone brand, backed by Xiaomi and instead of the MIUI skin which we normally see in all of Xiaomi devices, Black Shark phones run on the JoyUI, which is built for the gamers and provides some extra and detailed tweaks.

Well talking about the Black Shark’s JoyUI 11, it comes with all the core features of Android 10 and on top brings some extra features of its own like new themes, Shark Space 3.0, Mi Share, and more.

While pushing the Android 10 (JoyUI 11) update for the Black Shark 2, the company also confirmed that its pro variant will also be getting the update “soon”.

And it seems like the wait is finally over, as the OEM has started rolling out the Android 10 based JoyUI 11 update for the Black Shark 2 Pro units.

Talking about the update, it arrives with the version number DLTR2004231OS00MQ0 and weighs in around 1.83 GB in size. Although the OTA does not mention what all features it brings, we expect it to serve the Black Shark 2 Pro with all the Android 10 as well as JoyUI 11 features.

And while the users can wait for the official OTA to arrive on their Black Shark 2 Pro phones, for those who do not want to wait and simply want to manually upgrade their phones with the latest Android 10 (JoyUI 11) update, then, fortunately, we have the download link with us.

Along with the download link, we also have a guide via which you can manually install the update on your Black Shark 2 Pro units.

Note that before you go ahead with the instructions, first and foremost, back up the entire data on your device to avoid data loss. Also remove any passcode, fingerprint lock, etc. from your phone for the process.

As per XDA, if you are already on the firmware MP6 then you can go ahead with flashing the MQ0 firmware. However, if you are on the MP5 firmware version, then you should first flash MP6 and then MQ0 to avoid any issues.
