[Updated] Realme XT & Realme 5 Pro April update adds DocVault ID, optimizes audio, and fixes multiple issues

Android phone makers have, in the past couple of years, made tremendous steps in terms of rolling out regular updates. A few years ago, the Android ecosystem got a lot of bad press on this issue. Players like Realme seem to be at the forefront of making this possible.

Realme and a bunch of other Android phone makers have been striving to roll out regular and timely updates to many of their devices including feature updates and regular Android security patches. Keeping with that trend, Realme is today rolling out the April patch to two if its devices.

With only a few days into the month, Realme is rolling out a new update via OTA for the month of May to the Realme XT and the Realme 5 Pro. This update packs a little more than just a bump in the Android security level.

With this release, Realme XT and Realme 5 Pro now get features like the DocVault ID and fixes to a few known issues. The Audio on these devices also gets some much-needed optimization with this update. More changes in this update are outlined in the following changelog.

For the Realme XT, this update can be identifies by the software version number RMX1921EX_11.C.04. For Realme 5 Pro users, the April patch can be identified by its software version number RMX1971EX_11.C.03. The changes are pretty similar and have been highlighted in the changelog above.

This is an OTA update and as such, will roll out to eligible devices within the coming few weeks. We shall update this post with relevant download links as and when we get them.
