Original story (published on April 29) follows:
Xiaomi is probably the only non-Google Android smartphone vendor that continues to overhaul the software of its devices for a period of up to four years. The company’s MIUI operating system often adds new features to older devices without changing the base Android OS.
These efforts show how the company’s software development team is dedicated to providing updates. Not to relent, the Chinese vendor has reportedly started the development of the next MIUI 13 update.
This coincides with the official announcement of the latest MIUI 12 update. Heck, the software hasn’t even left the closed beta channel in China, with the company promising to release the public beta on May 8.
But that isn’t going to stop Xiaomi from collecting some valuable feedback regarding the functional design of MIUI 13, a software update that isn’t expected probably until such a time in 2021.
