Nokia has been quite clear when it comes to rolling out Android 10 updates for its devices. Many of its devices are up and running the latest Android 10 OS, in fact, many are patched with the latest April patch as well.

The company revised its plans for updating the devices to Android 10, due to the ongoing scenario due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nokia 5.1 Plus, which is waiting for its last OS upgrade in the form of Android 10 was scheduled to get updated somewhere in Q2 2020.

It was reported previously, that the company is planning to upgrade this 2018 launched Nokia 5.1 Plus device, anytime in May. A few days ago, a video surfaced online that showcased Android 10 running on the Nokia 5.1 Plus, prior to which the Android 10 internal beta update was leaked.

Collectively, much has been said about the Android 10 update for the Nokia 5.1 Plus, but looking at the real picture, the update is nowhere to be seen for the device.

And probably, the users might have to wait sometime more to get their hands on the Android 10 OS, because as per a user report, a new security update based on Android 9 Pie is live for the Nokia 5.1 Plus.

It carries the April security patch for the handset while weighing in around 61 MB in size, making it clear that it is nothing but a purely incremental update.

While the user has shared screenshot of the new updates, he also brought to light that after the update, the Nokia 5.1 Plus has been surfaced with issues like battery drain and lagging.

However, it is unclear how widespread this issue is and whether all the users of the Nokia 5.1 Plus are experiencing these issues on their handset after the update or not.
