Xiaomi’s gaming smartphone lineup’s second smartphone, Black Shark 2, was launched back in 2019. The device carried all the latest and greatest specs, 2019 had to offer, as you would expect out of a gaming phone.
However, instead of the traditional MIUI custom skin, the Black Shark used the game-centric, JoyUI, which was developed to provide better personalization and enhancements keeping in mind the gamer’s point of view.
JoyUI 11 is the latest version of the custom UI of Black Shark phones and the company confirmed that JoyUI 11 will integrate several MIUI 11 features for the Black Shark phones.
As we are approaching the end of April, Black Shark 2 users were pretty excited, because the company previously, have confirmed that the JoyUI 11 update will be rolled out somewhere around the end of April.
Well the wait is finally over for the Black Shark 2 users. Because as per some user reports, the company is rolling out the first wave of Android 10 based JoyUI 11 update for the device.
The JoyUI 11 update comes with version SKYW2004221OS00MQ0 and it weighs around 1.88 GB in size. As expected it brings all the latest features of Android 10 to the phone.
As mentioned above, this is the first wave of update which is meant for initial testing and will be pushed for limited users, while the OTA is scheduled to go live from May 6, 2020.
Moreover, there is something for the Black Shark Pro users as well. The tweet also shares information that the first wave of JoyUI 11 will be pushed for the Black Shark Pro, starting from April 30, and the stable version will be pushed collectively on May 6, along with the update for Black Shark 2.

Finally what everyone have been asking for months is here, JOYUI11. Today we will push the 1st wave to certain Black Shark 2 devices and from 30th April, the Black Shark pro. This will be the initial test pushing. From 6th May we will start to push the OTA for everyone.
