Original story (published on April 25) follows:
Tada! The wait will finally be over in the coming week. Oppo F9 and F9 Pro users have been gawking the arrival of the Android 10-based ColorOS 7 since it was announced that the device will pick up the beta in the month of April.
However, a couple of weeks back, the OEM revealed that the update had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic circumstances. Then just yesterday, we highlighted that Oppo F9 & F9 Pro will get the Android 10 beta either by the end of April or somewhere in May beginning as was revealed by a ColorOS forums moderator.
Well, the OEM didn’t take long to come up with a concrete date of arrival, as just a few hours later, incoming is the good news that the first batch of ColorOS 7 beta/trial update for the Oppo F9 & F9 Pro will be initiated next week, i.e. on April 30. Following that, the second batch is planned for the middle of the next month.
The information comes credits to an official announcement posted at the ColorOS forums, and here’s what it reads:
Sorry to keep everyone waiting for such a long time. Under the circumstance of Coronavirus pandemic and long-term lockdown in different areas, we overcame considerable difficulty and are glad to inform you the first batch of ColorOS 7 + Android 10 Trial Version for F9/F9 Pro will be released on 30th April. The second batch will be released in the middle of May.
Now the F9/F9 pro devices users have an exact date of arrival. We hope this time, things go as planned and users get to experience the Android 10-based ColorOS 7 on their unit.
