This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..
Original story (published on March 25) follows:
Android is a vast platform and virtually every OEM out here has their own take on Android. This explains the countless skins we see today. From One UI by Samsung to Huawei’s EMUI, Xiaomi’s MIUI and many more.
Samsung’s offer, One UI is arguably one of the more refined skins we have today. It is feature-packed, colorful and has had years of development to mature. The current edition, One UI 2.0 is popular among users and the company is working on a more refined version, One UI 2.1.
Recently, we reported that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 had an active development for a One UI 2.1 update. It was also reported that this update would also be available for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9 family.
The timelines shared by the company hinted that the update would start hitting eligible devices sometime in April, particularly for the U.S version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy S10.
Samsung, being the over-achiever that it is, has seemingly over-delivered. According to reports, the One UI 2.1 update is already rolling out in Germany. This has been reported by users with the Samsung Galaxy S10+.
One UI 2.1 is rolling out in Germany for the S10+ right now. It has the new AR Emoji, Pro video, 4K 60fps out of the front camera, Quick Share, Music Share, and more!

According to the changelog shared by the users who have received the update, One UI 2.1 brings a truck-load of features. Some of the improvements that users should expect in this build of One UI include; AR Emoji, Pro video, 4K 60fps out of the front camera, Quick Share, Music Share among others.
However, not all devices will get these features. According to reports, only the “Full S10 and Note 10 series (including Lite models) are getting One UI 2.1 and all the new features.”
The Note 10 Lite isn’t getting Night Hyperlapse, but it gets everything else.

If Samsung’s initial plan is anything to go by, users with eligible devices should expect to get an update to the new version of One UI in the course of the next 2-3 weeks.
Samsung has come a long way in terms of developing and rolling out features for its skin for Android and rolling out updates. We can only hope that more and more OEMs follow suit.
