This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..
Original story (from April 17) follows:
Oppo Reno2 is the Chinese OEMs mid-range smartphone that was launched back in 2019 and one of the promising features of the device was its quad-camera setup.
The Oppo Reno2 came with Android 9 Pie out of the box and the OEM has made its users wait for an extended period of time in bringing the Android 10 update.
Going by the ColorOS 7 (Android 10) update roadmap shared by Oppo for Q2 of 2020, the Oppo Reno2 was expecting to get the stable Android 10 update by April 17, 2020.
And seems like the company has stuck with the roadmap’s date because, as per the latest development, the ColorOS 7 (Android 10) update for the Oppo Reno2 is now finally rolling out.
Readers should note that this ColorOS 7 update is rolling out for the users in China and will eventually make its way to other regions, soon. Talking about the update, it arrives with version number C.11 and brings in all the new ColorOS 7 and Android 10 core features.
Though at the time of writing this post, we still are waiting to get our hands on the official changelog of this new update, users of the Oppo Reno2 can expect to see a flurry of new features like revamped UI design, new icons, new animations, improved RAM management, improved camera, Soloop video editor, etc.
And on top of that, this new update also brings Android 10 core features like new navigation gestures, native screen recording, improved privacy controls, Digital Wellbeing, system-wide dark mode, and more.
As always, the update is pushed via OTA in batches and will take some time in hitting all the units of the Oppo Reno2 in China. But, for those who have not yet received the update notification, you can manually check for it under Settings>>Software Updates.
Happy updating!
