[Updated] Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 5.1 Plus Android 10 update: First glimpse surfaces in video

There is nothing new about Android 10 as of now. The 2019 firmware from Google has been here for about 6 months now and most of the Android phones are now running Android 10 OS.

In fact, every now and then, a new device is getting updated to Android 10 firmware. Nokia is one of those OEMs that has accelerated the delivery of the Android 10 firmware to its devices.

Two more devices from Nokia, i.e. the Noia 8 Sirocco and 5.1 Plus, are in the pipeline to receive the firmware update. As per Nokia’s previously shared timelines, the two devices from Nokia are expected to get updated to Android 10 sometime within Q2 of 2020.

To recall, the Nokia 8 Sirocco was the company’s 2018 flagship and it came with Android 8 Oreo out of the box, meaning it still has one major OS upgrade left in the bank.

On the other hand, the Nokia 5.1 Plus (aka Nokia X5 in China) also came out in 2018 and it is also awaiting its last major Android update in the form of Android 10.

Matter of fact, only a few days back, the Android 10 internal beta builds for the Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 5.1 Plus were leaked by one of the prominent leakers, when it comes to Nokia phones, hikari_calyx.

And guess what! the first glimpses of the Android 10 running on Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 5.1 Plus have surfaced the internet, all thanks to none other than, hikari_calyx.

Since Nokia is not known for holding back the latest updates for longer, we can expect that the Android 10 update for these devices is right around the corner and users will get to taste the Android 10 OS sooner than expected.

But, we would advise our readers to keep this in mind, that anything un-official should be taken with a pinch of salt.
