Though foldable smartphones are not a new thing, a foldable Android smartphone is definitely new, which got people intrigued. And the Korean smartphone giant, Samsung aced in this department, with the Galaxy Fold.
The company released its first foldable device, the Galaxy Fold back in 2019, which also was the most expensive for starting at $2,000 in the US and £1,800 in the UK. In India, the device was priced more than INR 1,60,000.
Being one of the most pricy phones, it deserves some royal treatment from Samsung. But, that is not the case and one of the most basic, yet important things users expect from any OEM is the latest updates.
Although Samsung is the king at the moment when it comes to rolling out the latest security patches, the Galaxy Fold got the Android 10 update back in March 2020, with the One UI 2.1 custom UI.
The US Unlocked Galaxy Fold devices have also got their hands on the latest Android 10 and not if we go by the latest development, it is time for the carrier variants of the Galaxy Fold to get the taste of Android 10.
As per a Reddit post, the Android 10 update for the AT&T Galaxy Fold has finally landed on the phone bringing all the latest and greatest features of Android 10. Notably, it brings the One UI 2.1 version.
Since, one of the major US carriers, AT&T has pushed the update, users of the Galaxy Fold can expect the Android 10 updates from other carriers as well in the near future.
AT&T has not only brought the Android 10 (One UI 2.1) update for the Galaxy Fold, but it is also making the One UI 2.1 update available for the Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G variant as well.
Note that AT&T has already released the One UI 2.1 (Android 10) update for the non-5G Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus and it was about time for the update to arrive on the Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G.
This new version of the custom UI is quite popular among the Samsung users for its new features like AR Emoji, Pro video, 4K 60fps out of the front camera, Quick Share, Music Share, etc.
Now coming back to the update for the AT&T Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G, it arrives via OTA and is sized at 1.61 GB.
It goes without saying that, users of both the AT&T variants of the Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G can grab the updates by heading over to Settings>>About Phone>>Software Updates.
