[Updated] Motorola Moto Z4 Android 10 update finally rolling out

It’s been ages (not literally!) since the launch of the Android 10 update by Google. Though it takes time for the heavy skinned OEMs like Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, etc. to push out any firmware update, they have upgraded quite a bunch of phones of their lists.

Motorola, which is known to feature one of the cleanest UIs that is close to the stock Android UI, have been a bit behind in as compared to the major players in upgrading its devices to Android 10.

There are several Motorola phones, that are still waiting to get the taste of Android 10 operating system. One of which is the Moto Z4 which was launched back in 2019.

Interestingly, in one of our earlier reports, we have highlighted one senior XDA member’s claim of receiving the Android 10 update on the Verizon variant of the Moto Z4. The user also clarified that he didn’t enroll in any soak test program.

Back then, there was no concrete evidence about the update being rolled out for the device. But in a recent development, we can confirm that the Android 10 update for the Moto Z4, is indeed rolling out for the masses.

As per one of the Redditors, the update is hitting the units via OTA and comes with the version number QPF30.130-15-7. The update also bumps the security patch level to January 2020.

Notably, as always, the update is being pushed via OTA and will take some time in hitting all the units. Users can manually check for it by heading over to Settings>>About Phone>>System Updates.
