After several fateful rebirth cycles and epic battles, Nakaba Suzuki’s manga Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu No Taizai) is finally at an end. Well almost. Chapter 345 of the manga is the second last release before the story folds, giving us the much-needed closure.
So naturally, as soon as the Japanese edition of the chapter was made available, fan-translations started doing the rounds on social media. We got hold of one such version.
So without much ado, let’s dive into the spoilers from Seven Deadly Sins chapter 345!
Chapter 345 begins 18 months after the fateful battle against the Demon Lord, and our main protagonists Meliodas, Elizabeth, Ban, Elaine, Hawk, King, Diane, and Gowther seem to have taken different paths.
In Lioness, Slader reluctantly mentions how he has been doing good with his task of ‘exterminating wild worms and crushing bandits’.
Later Jericho, who was training with Guila, rushes to the Fairy King’s Forest after getting some news about Ban and Elaine!
Meanwhile, we are also given a quick glimpse of what Deathpierce, Hendrickson, Dreyfus and other knights who had close to Meliodas and the rest, are up to.
But let’s cut to the juicy bits.
Romance lovers who have been shipping really hard have been blessed with several canon pairings in this chapter. The very next scene brings us inside the Liones castle, where the couples Margaret and Gilthunder, Veronica and Griamore are in front of the king, who seems to be embarrassing everyone with toys in his hands. And all this leads too…
Yes, you have guessed it right.
Ban and Elaine are expecting a baby!
Which has its own significance, as it’s the first time a human and a fairy have conceived.
If you are already teary with emotions, hold on to your tissues box for the shockers don’t end at that.
Guess who else is going to be mommy and daddy? Our OG couple from Seven Deadly Sins, Meliodas and Elizabeth.
Which is another first, as a child between a demon and goddess was never heard of before!
As the two couples come up with names for their newborns, the chapter ends with Meliodas musing about what the future holds for their next generation.
