Earlier, Niantic announced the details regarding March Community Day. Pokemon Go March Community Day was scheduled to take place on March 15, 2020. The featured Pokemon for this month Community Day was Abra.
Speaking of Abra, it is a Psychic-type Pokémon which was introduced in Generation I. Abra evolves in Kadabra, & it can further evolve into Alakazam. But in the wake of Coronavirus, Pokemon Go March Community Day has been postponed.
But there is some good news too, as Niantic has announced some changes to Pokemon Go, which will benefit trainers. All these below mentioned changes are currently active & will stay live until further notice.
- A one-time purchase bundle of 30 Incense for 1 PokéCoin. Incense will also last for one hour.
- 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during this time period
- PokéStops will now drop Gifts more frequently
- Pokémon habitats will increase and more Pokémon will be appearing in the wild
Apart from this, a new update for Pokemon Go has gone live & it bears the version number 0.169.0. It has brought a lot of enhancements to Pokemon Go. It has also introduced a new Egg hatch animation. You can get it’s more details by heading here.
Also, under the special Raid weekend, Cobalion and Lugia are returning to Raid Battles. Cobalion will be available to challenge in Raid Battles from Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at 1 pm to Monday, March 23, 2020, at 1pm PDT (GMT −7).
Lugia will be available to challenge in Raid Battles from Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at 1pm to Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at 1 pm PDT (GMT −7). Pokemon Go players also have the chance to encounter Lugia & Cobalion as a GO Battle League reward encounter during this time!
