Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Android 10 update seems distant as device gets new Pie-based MIUI 11 stable build with bufixes

Xiaomi has already rolled Android 10 update for many of its models in the Mi MIX series. In January, the Chinese company came out with Android 10 update for the Mi MIX 2S, and last week, it released the update for the Mi Mix 3.

However, Mi MIX 2 users have not been so fortunate when it comes to the Android 10 update. They have been eagerly waiting for the update all along. And, if the latest development is anything to go by, they may have to wait a bit longer for the Mi MIX 2 Android 10 update.

While users were anxiously waiting for the Android 10 update, Xiaomi today released a Pie-based MIUI 11 stable (China) build update for the Mi MIX 2. Even though the update relates to the MIUI 11 system, there is no mention of the Android 10. Even the changelog does not say anything about Android 10.

The size of the update is 490MB. Xiaomi’s Android 10 updates are usually over 1GB. This all seems to suggest that the latest MIUI 11 update is not Android 10 update, and that users will have to wait more to get Mi MIX 2 Android 10 update.

Talking about what this latest update brings, as per the screenshot shared by a user it fixes a number of bugs, such as with status bar, notification bar, network assistant, security center, Xiaomi cloud services, screenshots and more.

Xiaomi released Mi MIX 2 in September 2017. The handset features a 5.99-inch 18:9 full-screen display with a resolution of 2160×1080. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and is equipped with a 3400mAh battery. On the back, it has a 12MP rear shooter, while the front camera is 5MP.
