Earlier this year, Huawei came up with its roadmap for the release of EMUI 10 (Android 10) update for its smartphones. Though the list included most names, it missed an expected one – the Huawei Y9 (2019).
Annoyed Huawei Y9 users, then took to Change.org website to let Huawei know how eager they are to get the EMUI 10 (Android 10) update. The petition reportedly worked as the company later confirmed that Android 10 update would come to Huawei Y9 (2019).
Taking inspiration from the Huawei Y9 users, the Nova 3i users also filed a Change.org petition for the EMUI 10 (Android 10) update. The petition, which is targeting 7500 signs, has already got the support of over 6000 users.
Now, Huawei Nova 3 users have also come up with the same demand. They have also created a Change.org petition for Huawei Nova 3 EMUI 10 update. The petition aiming for 1000 signs has already got over 950 signs.
In fact, there is more than one petition for the Huawei Nova 3 EMUI 10 update. The other petition, which is only a few hours old, has got the backing of 12 users (aiming for 100). Moreover, there is also a combined petition for Nova3 and Nova3i.
Huawei has already told that Nova 3 won’t be getting EMUI 10 update due to the hardware limitations. However, the petition says the device is capable of supporting the new update.
Huawei Nova 3 is powered by Kirin 970 processor. A point to note is that Mate 10 and P20 series smartphones, which also use Kirin 970 processor, are eligible for the Android 10 update.
As of now, there is no response from Huawei on the petition. But don’t worry, we will keep you informed of any development on Huawei Nova 3 EMUI 10 petition (and Huawei Nova 3i EMUI 10 petition).
