A new update has started rolling out for the Pokemon Go game. The latest update is coming with version number 0.167.0 and it brought a slew of changes and new features to the game. But with the latest update, many players are facing login and authentication issues.
One of the most popular Pokemon Go, data miners, Pokeminers, have listed out all its new features & changes. Pokemon Go update 0.167.0 has added Shadow Egg to the game. Two new moves have been added to the game including Payback and Rock Wrecker for Rhyhorn Community Day. The list of changes that have been incorporated in the latest update are listed below.
- Team Rocket Egg (also called the Shadow Egg) has an image
- Rock Wrecker and Payback added
- April 2020 and Safari 2020 No Evolve forms added
- New filter for age
- Profile Stat Reporting
- Shadow and Purified mon boosts, and Shadow move boosts specifically
- Encounter Screen v2 (it exists, we don’t know anything about it)
- Buddy throwing difficulty levels
- Buddy needs to be on the map to open gifts now and make cameos like catch assist
- Buddy tutorial images and functions added
- Gift Migration
- Evolving now shows the new mon’s name during evolve
- Adventure Sync now works across devices (and Harry Potter as announced)
- Fisherman is now just Fisher for all clothing
- Depot Agent is now Rail Staff for the Steel Badge
- References to the Free Raid Pass have been removed and replaced with just Raid Pass
The latest Pokemon Go update is 95.8 MB in size. Regarding the login issues that have been surfaced online with the update 0.167.0 has been addressed by Niantic on their official blog. They are currently investigating the issue & looking to resolve it at the earliest.
Apart from this, the Pokemon Go Valentine’s Day event is currently underway. Pokémon GO Valentine’s Day Celebration 2020 event started on February 14, 2020, at 8 am and will stay live until Monday, February 17, 2020, at 10 pm local time.
During the Pokémon GO Valentine’s Day Celebration 2020 event, the spawn rate of Pink Pokemon has also got increase in the wild. Also, Eggs & Raids will feature more Pink Pokemon. Theme related research tasks will also feature Pink Pokemon encounters.
Audino, the Hearing Pokémon, and Alomomola, the Caring Pokémon, have also made their debut under this event. Pokémon GO Valentine’s Day Celebration 2020 event has brought a range of bonuses for players. During this event, regular Lure Modules will last six hours and players will receive a 2× Catch Candy bonus.
Pink Pokémon—like Lickitung, Porygon, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Tyrogue, Smoochum, Luvdisc, and Happiny—will be hatching from 7 km Eggs. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Chansey in the wild or hatch a Shiny Happiny! Valentine’s Day–themed avatar items like the Luvdisc Top, Ripped Luvdisc Jeans, and Luvdisc Shoes can be obtained from the Style Shop!
Lickitung Raid Day
To continue the pink Pokémon festivities in celebration of Valentine’s Day, there will be a Raid Day featuring Lickitung on Saturday, February 15, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone! Lickitung will be in four-star raids and know Body Slam! You can receive up to five Raid Passes at no cost during the event by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms. You cannot hold more than one of these Raid Passes at once, and they will not be available after the event ends. Lucky Trainers might encounter Shiny Lickitung!
