For as long as iOS has been around, there’s been the need to get a little more functionality than Apple builds onto the OS. This led to the birth of the whole jailbreaking community. One popular tool to accomplish this has been checkra1n.
checkra1n jailbreak is considered by many, the new generation jailbreaking tool. It is based on the permanent unpatchable bootrom exploit called checkm8 by axi0mX.
checkra1n has just been updated. This latest checkra1n release now gives users the ability to jailbreak their iOS 13.3.1 iPhone or iPadOS 13.3.1 iPads. And that is not all. with this update, there is now support for Linux systems.
This update also brings a new CLI, an experimental web-based UI called webra1n, and a lot more. The web-based UI is particularly interesting because that means checkra1n can now be deployed on headless computers like Raspberry Pi. Below is the update’s changelog.

For a while now, checkra1n has worked on macOS. However, Windows users have been out of luck. This new development is good news for Windows users if you think about it. We know that Linux can be easily installed alongside Windows. For the first time, checkra1n is now within reach for Windows users. However, there is also a demo checkra1n for Windows in the works.
The release of this new version means that iOS 13.3.1 devices can now be jailbroken. These device owners can also upgrade their devices to iOS 13.3.1 without the risk of losing their jailbreak.
