Today, Niantic has added one new feature to the game & it is called Trade Evolution. Speaking of Trade evolution, it has been an iconic mechanic in the main Pokemon series. Trading certain Pokemon will result in no Candy cost to evolve them.
But you must be wondering, how Trade Evolution works in the game & what will be its benefit. Well, under the Trade Evolution, players will be able to trade an eligible Pokemon to lower the Candy cost to evolve them.
Which Pokémon can gain Evolution benefits from trading?
Kadabra, Machoke, Graveler, and Haunter are some Pokémon that can now benefit from trade Evolution. If you received one of these Pokémon in a trade in the past—congratulations! That Pokémon will retroactively qualify for no Candy cost when you evolve it.
Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region will also benefit from Trade Evolution. The following list of Pokemon will benefit from Trade Evolution : Boldore, Gurdurr, Karrablast, and Shelmet. Boldore’s and Gurdurr’s Evolutions, Gigalith and Conkeldurr, might be powerful Pokémon to have in battle parties!
Apart from that, Niantic has also revealed the details regarding the upcoming Community Day. Pokemon Go January Community Day will feature Piplup, which is a Water-type starter Pokemon from the Sinnoh region.
Pokemon Go January Community Day is also bringing in a range of bonuses for players. The list of bonuses that players will get under the Pokemon Go January Community Day includes the following: 1/4 Egg hatch distance, 3-hour Lure modules, and event-themed Field Research Tasks.
Pokemon Go January Community Day has been scheduled to take place on January 19, 2020, from 11 am to 2 pm, for the players located in the Northern Hemisphere. For the players located in the Southern Hemisphere, Pokemon Go January Community Day has been scheduled to take place on January 19, 2020, from 3 pm to 6 pm.
