Pokemon Go has added a new feature, Trade Evolution to the game. Under this new feature, players will be able to trade an eligible Pokémon to lower the Candy cost to evolve them. Apart from that, some new Unova region Pokemon have also made their entry to the game.
The following list of new Unova region Pokemon will be seen in the wild : Roggenrola, Tympole, Dwebble, Trubbish, Karrablast, Joltik, Shelmet, and more. There is also a change in the egg pool. The following list of Pokemon will hatch from 2 Km, 5 km & 10 km eggs.
2 Km Eggs : Venipede, Dwebble
5 Km Eggs : Roggenrola, Tympole, Trubbish, Karrablast, Joltik, and Shelmet
10 Km eggs : Timburr, Tirtouga, Archen, and Axew.
With the addition of the new Unova region Pokemon, there is also a change in the Raid Boss pool. Timburr will be available in one-star raids. Also, there are some new regional Pokemon, which will only be seen in the following locations.
North America, South America, and Africa: Throh (also available in 10 km Eggs)
Europe, Asia, and Australia: Sawk (also available in 10 km Eggs)
Southern United States, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America: Maractus
Egypt and Greece: Sigilyph
Eastern hemisphere: Red-Striped Form Basculin
Western hemisphere: Blue-Striped Form Basculin
Apart from that, Niantic has also revealed the details regarding the upcoming Community Day. Pokemon Go January Community Day will feature the water-type starter Pokemon, Piplup. Piplup is a Pokemon from the Sinnoh region.
Pokemon Go January Community Day will take place on January 19, 2020. However, the timings for the Northern Hemisphere & Southern Hemisphere are different. For the Northern Hemisphere, the timings are – 11 am to 2 pm whereas for the Southern Hemisphere, the timings will be – 3 pm to 6 pm. If you are luck you may also find the Shiny Piplup.
Pokemon Go January Community Day will also bring in a variety of bonuses for players. The list of bonuses includes the following: 1/4 Egg hatch distance, 3-hour Lure modules, and event-themed Field Research Tasks.
