This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..
Original story (from Dec 09) follows:
Developed and published by Ubisoft, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is indeed a popular online military shooter game, available on platforms like Windows, PS4 and Xbox One.
The game’s next major title update, TU 1.1.0, is due on December 18, and it is already in the headlines that this upcoming patch will update the Battle Reward System and fix some bugs.
But there’s one bug fix, in particular, the official confirmation regarding which must be music to ears of those who’ve been expressing their dissatisfaction across the forums for the past few weeks. Let me give you a quick brief about the problem in question and what has been the picture so far in terms of Ubisoft’s reaction towards it.
For over three weeks, players have been chiming about game crashes when walking or flying mountains specifically in the snowy areas or high altitude regions. The issue basically crept in after a recent update, and as per reports, no specific error shows up after the crash.
The players are simply thrown to the desktop along with a report crash window.
Now coming to what has Ubisoft done so far to entertain the bug being highlighted, it was two weeks back when after collecting the user feedback, someone from Ubisoft Support Staff stated the issue is being investigated.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who answered my questions for the report! This issue is being investigated and as soon as we have more information to push forward, I’ll be posting it here!
Thanks again everyone, I really appreciate you all working with me & working together!

A few days later, the same support staff personnel added the glitch has been reproduced and the team is working to resolve it.
Just wanted to update you all that the issue has been reproduced so we’re working to get this resolved!
Also, added to our report that elevation is a factor to be investigated in tandem with this issue!

Two weeks and counting. Despite reproducing and acknowledging the problem, it wasn’t added to the official list of known issues available at the Ubisoft forum, until recently. When questioned by users, the same representative said the issues will be added to the list of known issues soon:
Hey everyone and we do apologize for the delay in resolving this issue!
We will be adding this to our Known Issues List so moving forward you are all aware of the issue and our progress!

Cut to now. The list of known issues has finally been updated and specifies the crash glitch in snow regions, which is troubling users with specific cards from Nvidia and AMD, will be fixed with the TU 1.1.0 update – which for your information is expected on Dec 18.
Players have reported crashes in snow regions on following graphics cards: Nvidia GTX 1080, Nvidia GTX 980, and several cards from the AMD Radeon line.
-TU 1.1.0 will include a fix for this issue.
Apart from crashing in snowy regions, TU 1.1.0 will also fix other problems like the Interact button prioritizing vehicles over mission givers, the audio-related issue where the enemies scream in pain after being shot in the head, the incorrect requirement details of some cosmetic items, and more.
Until the update goes live, there’s nothing much users can do other than sitting back and waiting patiently. Here’s hoping the game devs also fix the other know issues at the soonest, so that players can have a smooth gaming experience.
Update 1 (Dec 10)
For executing changes in the Battle Reward system, a maintenance has been scheduled for tomorrow. After the update, players will get to see:
-Mass grant of all Act 1 and Act 2 Battle Rewards (with the exception of Walker and Hill Figures)
-Battle Rewards page will be deactivated, players will no longer be able to access the page or earn Battle Points
