Apex Legends is gearing up for Season 3 and now we have a totally new teaser which is essentially a news update from the Kings Canyon. Season 3 kicks off on October 1 and Respawn has left no stone unturned in teasing (or maybe over-teasing) the upcoming content from Season 3.
Even from the anxiety that spirals from these teasers, there’s always some information to scavenge which fuels the fan theories. In this case, theory being, we’ll not only be getting a new map, but the whole Apex Games will be shifted to some new planet.
The new planet called Psamathe is from Titanfall Universe and is homeland to Octane and Lifeline. The new teaser is essentially a blog post from the Outlands Journal, who ran an investigation on the events which happened in the beginning of the Season 2.
Crypto as we know destroyed the Repulsor Tower which led to Leviathans and flyers invading the Kings Canyon. The blog says:
Disaster has struck Kings Canyon, home of the Apex Games: a Repulsor Tower built to drive away the area’s native wildlife collapsed, clearing the way for a stampede of creatures into the arena. Images of the disaster have been splashed across holoscreens from Solace to Psamathe, and hardly a reporter in the Outlands neglected to comment.

Season 3’s name as we all know is “Meltdown,” but a handful of people know that in the early leaks the name was revealed to be “Fire and Ice“. The new EA site also teases the new Fire and Ice scenarios which was revealed in the Italian version of the site.
The possibility of new map to be on Psamathe caught a second wind when a new Lifeline concept art was released by the studio. The art depicted Lifeline on an ice land with Lava flowing in the background in distance.
Also, the message from Crypto which teased Crypto’s plans for Kings Canyon also described how he planned on to destroy Kings Canyons and once he is through with it, he planned to hitch a ride out of Solace to New Dawn to find some more evidence.
To back some more evidence the latest teasers showing the space elevator from Titanfall universe could be used to send legends off to Psamathe. But all this is just speculation and we won’t be considering anything seriously until the devs confirm it.
