With the launch of the Realme XT, the mid-range segment of the smartphone market has again been shaken. The sub-brand of Oppo, Realme is known for providing users with top-end specs at a very affordable price tag along with brilliant performance for a low price.
For a quick review, the Realme XT is powered by the Snapdragon 712 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In the display department, the device packs a 6.5-inch 1080p resolution display. Moreover, it has a 16MP selfie camera as well.
Pertaining to the latest trend, the Realme XT has the in-display fingerprint scanner along with the quad-camera setup with 64MP+8MP+2MP+2MP sensors. Note that the 64MP lens is Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright GW1 that allows you to capture the image in full resolution.
But, what’s more interesting is that the official specs list of the Realme XT on the website reads that it is powered by the “ColorOS 6, customized by Realme“. Besides, the device also includes features like dark mode and Digital Wellbeing as well.
For a quick recap, we shared a report previously, regarding the update on the Project X (which is probably the Realme OS) that they have included the dark mode on the Realme 3 Pro. But, now with the launch of Realme XT, the company is surely heading towards the Realme OS.
Not only for the Realme XT, in our previous report, but we also came across the official specs list of the Realme 5 Pro which says “ColorOS 6 realme edition”.
What is more interesting that according to a report by Realme Community, the CEO of Realme, Madhav Sheth, revealed that the Realme OS will be coming pretty soon. He also stated that the Realme OS will be based on the Android 10 and will have an almost stock android feel to it.
Moreover, Madhav revealed that we could see the beta of the Realme OS in October or November 2019 and finally the stable version will release starting 2020.
The ColorOS 6 which is redesigned by Realme, includes clone apps, customized fonts, Digital Wellbeing, and dark mode as well. These are some of the features which we haven’t seen on the normal versions of the ColorOS as compared to this redesigned by Realme version.
