Apex Legends Preseason Invitational kicks off in Poland on September 13 and will end on September 15 where teams will fight off in Kings Canyon for a prize money of $500,000!
EA and Respawn have been taking Apex Legends on to a competitive E-Sports platform and that will continue with the Preseason Invitational. This event will feature the biggest e-sports team of Apex Legends including Teams NRG, Luminosity among others.
For the ones in Poland, the tickets are up for grabs and for the ones who cannot make it in person can watch it chilling on your bed. The event will start at 1 PM CEST each day and will be streamed on YouTube, Twitch, Mixer and Facebook.
The rules for the tournament are pretty much simple. The tournament will follow a double-elimination format in which there is a Winners Bracket and Losers Bracket. All teams will be initially placed in Winners brackets Round 1 and the eliminated teams in every match will drop to Losers Bracket and will have a chance to still compete.
The point system for the matches is as follows:
- Eliminations will provide 1 Point.
- Placement points are distributed as the following per round:
- 1st place – 12 Points.
- 2nd place – 9 Points.
- 3rd place – 7 Points.
- 4th place – 5 Points.
- 5th place – 4 Points.
- 6th – 10th place – 2 Points.
- 11th – 15th place – 1 Points.
- 16th – 20th place – 0 Points.
Only the top 20 teams will be sharing the prize pool from the roster of 80 teams competing in total. The first team will get a prize money of $105,000 and there is a special prize of $8000 for the player with most kills.
