PUBG PC Lite is the Lite version of the original PUBG. The game was launched in India some time back and the region has got its own server for PUBG Lite. The game was much awaited and launched its Season 1 on August 8.
The devs released a major balance update on September 5 which introduced a lot of big changes in the meta for the game. So, without lingering on, let’s get into the details of the update.
The major part of this update was the balance patch for the weapons. Some weapons got buffed and some got nerfed. Kar98 got a base damage buff from 75 to 79. S12K got a base damage buff as well increasing the per bullet damage from 22 to 24.
Per pellet base damage of Sawed-off was also buffed from 20 to 22 and S686, S1897 got increased per pellet base damage from 24 to 26. SMG’s got an overall damage buff over distances.
SMG’s earlier somewhat weren’t used by players because of the lower damage but now this update introduced increased damage multipliers for the SMG’s. The new multipliers are – Torso 1.05 (previously 1.0), Limb 1.3 (previously 1.25).
Crossbow also saw an increased damage multipliers – Torso 1.4 (previously 1.0), Limb 1.2 (previously 0.9). Crossbow’s default sight also got a 3% zoom buff to encourage players to play with the crossbow.
Now, coming to the weapons which were nerfed, the nerfed weapons were mostly ARs. Base damage for M416, QBZ, SCAR-L and AUG have been reduced from 43 to 41. Base damage of Beryl M762 is now 46 instead of 47. AKM and Groza’s base damage was also nerfed from 49 to 47.
In the sniper section M24 got its base damage nerfed from 79 to 75. Also, the maximum bullet travel distance of all shotguns was reduced from 1000 m to 150 m.
Other weapon changes include the Duckbill attachment which will now spread the bullets vertically instead of horizontally. UMP will now use .45 ACP bullets instead of 9mm. Vector SMG will now use 9mm bullets instead of .45 ACP.
The devs have also optimized the game so that the FPS does not affect the rate of firing. Some other animation optimizations and other gameplay optimizations have also been made. You can read the full patch notes here.
