Are you facing login issues on your Xbox gaming console or Xbox app? Are you getting error code 0x87dd0006 when you try to log into your account? Well, if yes, then find solace in the fact that you aren’t alone.

For its part, Microsoft has said the Xbox team is looking into the matter. Here’s what the Xbox Support Twitter account said a couple of hours ago:

Meanwhile, gaming services like Fortnite (which itself is plagued with audio issues at the moment) have started notifying users about this issue:

Microsoft is aware of the problem. Here’s latest tweet from their support handle:

The issue was fixed.
Previous issues with sign in should now be resolved. We're aware of users also running into issues with purchasing new content over Xbox Live and teams are actively engaged on that as well. We'll have additional updates to provide soon.

Update 3 (May 15)
Looks like the Xbox services have again gone down. We’re seeing a lot of user reports about this new outage. You can check out the reports here.

Update 4 (July 11)
There seems to be a new Xbox outage at the moment. A lot of users on social media platforms (like Twitter) are complaining about not being able to access Xbox Live services, suggesting the Xbox servers may be down at the moment.
The official Xbox status page shows everything is working as it should. Anyway, we are searching for more details currently, and will update the story if we find anything newsworthy.
Update 5 (July 11)
It has now been revealed that the Xbox Live Core Services (Signing in; creating, managing, or recovering an account; search) are down at the moment. Microsoft says they are looking into the matter.
Here’s the official statement, as posted on the Xbox status page:
Our engineers and developers are actively continuing to work to resolve the issue causing some members to have problems signing in to Xbox Live
Update 6 (July 11)
Some users are now reporting the problem is fixed for them, meaning the servers may be coming back up gradually.
Update 7 (September 07)
Same issue again today. Affected services include Xbox Live Core Services, Purchase, and Content Usage.
