Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most awaited gaming titles of the year 2020 and to quench down the curiosity of players, Quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz has shared a video explaining the impact of choosing different “lifepaths” for the in-game character, V.
The game features a mercenary V, who is customizable in many aspects like sex, hairstyles, face, body type, lifepaths (nomad, street kid, or corporate), and clothing. V also has an arsenal of both ranged and melee weapons.
The game has been set up in dystopian Night City, California, and is an open-world RPG game with six different regions including corporate City Center, immigrant-inhabited Watson, luxurious Westbrook, suburban Heywood, gang-infested Pacifica, and industrial Santo Domingo.
It is a first-person perspective shooting game and features three character classes which can be improved by stats upgrades. Speaking of the shared video, the game’s quest director, Mateusz, has explained, how will the character’s life path and choices made throughout the game affect quests and players’ Cyberpunk 2077 experience.
“We have a big variety of different skills that the players can modify as they develop their character throughout the game. And in turn, they can use these skills to discover different paths through the levels, to discover different options in quests,” Tomaszkiewicz said.
“On top of that, we also have this thing called the ‘lifepaths,’ which are the origins of our character that we choose at the beginning of the game, when we create the character. So for example, you might imagine that if you’re a street kid, you’ll have an easier time talking to different gangs, or if you’re a corporate, you might have an advantage over people from the corporations, since you know how they think and how they operate.”
Street Kid, Corpo, and Nomad are the three lifepaths for the lead character of the game and the players Cyberpunk 2077 experience will be based on the selection of lifepath for their character.
Players will have to play the game at least three times to experience each of the three lifepaths provided for the character.
For a quick refresher, Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on 16 April 2020. The game only features a single-player mode and will be available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
CD Projekt Red is the development company for the game, and it will be published by CD Projekt under the direction of Adam Badowski.
