We’re back with the latest and trending news from the world of Apple. Apart from the company’s expected and highly anticipated March 25 event, there have been a number of other developments!
March 25 is going to be a memorable day in the Apple universe. The company is mainly going to focus on its software and services during this event. Here’s what to expect at Apple’s March 25, 2019, event.
First and foremost, Apple’s News service will certainly take center stage. This new service is expected to supply the latest and unfiltered news from some of the best publishers, including The Wall Street Journal.
Unfortunately, like all good things, this too comes at a cost! Users will have to pay a monthly subscription in order to enjoy unlimited access. In addition to this, Apple is looking to launch its TV Streaming service as well.
This TV streaming service will offer different bundles with access to different shows and serials. To find out exactly how it functions and pricing of its package details, make sure to tune into Apple’s live stream event on March 25.
Other highlights of the event include new Apple Pay features. This rumor comes from Bloomberg which outlines the partnership of Apple with Goldman and Sachs for a new iPhone credit card.
Since the focus will be entirely on software and services, no hardware is scheduled or even speculated to grace the stage at the event.
Moving on, courtesy of Mac Otakara, we know that Apple’s 2019 iPhones will be maintaining the same Lightning connector as its predecessors. However, the one change is that the devices may launch with an 18W fast charger and USB-C to lightning cable.
If this is true, it will be a massive upgrade over the existing iPhone’s 5W USB charger. An 18W adapter will allow for over three times the charging speeds. So, how much truth lies in this rumor?
Well, unfortunately, maybe not too much as the same website previously released a report claiming that the upcoming 2019 iPhones would retain the same 5W charging capacity. It seems like the only way to be sure is to wait for an official statement or release of the smartphones!
Don’t you think it’s time Apple included some sort of fast charging for its iPhones?
In other news, Apple may launch a new gaming subscription service. Past reports have expressed the company’s interest in gaming subscription services similar to other existing ones. As expected, the premium gaming subscription service will be for its App Store.
Instead of following the path of Google Stadia, Apple will bundle paid games from different developers with its iPhones and iPads. Like all gaming subscriptions, Apple’s one too will focus on paid games instead of the free ones available for everyone to test out.
The rumor regarding this comes straight from Bloomberg. Unfortunately, without any concrete evidence, there’s no certainty that this service will grace the stage on March 25.
Speaking of its March 25 event, the company is attempting to gain as much publicity as possible. In order to feed the growing hype, Apple has teased its media event with a live stream of the Steve Jobs Theatre.
According to MacRumors, a few hours of the live stream hasn’t resulted in anything productive. Apple has decided to show an empty stage being cleaned all the way to a video of a dancer performing and even an incoming call on an iPhone from none other than Chris Evans; the actor who played Captain America.
To add to the teasers, another one has popped up in the form of an iMessage conversation with the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook. The messages are pretty clear, hinting at the fact that the NBA star, Kevin Durant, might make an appearance at Apple’s March 25 event.
Given the fact that Apple has been hyping this event, it’s clear that the company may have a few welcome surprises or a trick or two rolled up its sleeve! If you’re a tech fan or even just an ordinary guy who seems fascinated by tech, check out Apple’s Keynote which begins at 10:00 a.m Pacific time on March 25.
Apple’s newly launched AirPods have stolen the hearts of so many customers to the extent that Apple had to delay the delivery dates for the device with the wireless charging case. Those lucky customers who ordered it on the day of its launch have started receiving shipping notifications.
The earliest delivery date begins from March 26, with the others following on March 27 and 28. However, do bear in mind, these dates are only for those who ordered the device on the same day as its launch.
This information was gathered from the AirPods order status listed on MacRumors. There are a few isolated customers in the U.K who claim that their devices will reach on Monday itself. This means that they will be receiving the product even before Apple’s March 25 event.
Going by Apple’s online website, the product bears a 3-5 business days shipping time with a long wait period of 7-10 days for the AirPods with the Wireless Charging Case.
Apple’s second-generation AirPods have been nothing short of impressive. The earphones have better sound quality and are even equipped with “Hey Siri” support.
That’s all for now folks! Come by tomorrow for another scoop of interesting and titillating Apple news!
