NOTE: For all latest, breaking news related to Tumblr adult content ban as well as its alternatives, head here.
We have already highlighted many a times just how bad Tumblr’s implementation of its adult content ban is. To give you a quick idea, Tumblr’s censoring bots not only flagged the company’s official announcement as explicit but also censored its own examples of acceptable adult content.
And today, we have yet another embarrassing example of this. It has come to light that popular American cartoonist Liz Climo’s comics have got caught up in Tumblr’s adult content ban.
The animator took to Twitter to share the development with her followers:
Liz also shared the pictures that were censored by Tumblr, and replied to a couple of comments in a funny way.

For those who aren’t aware, Liz has also been working as an animator on the television series The Simpsons since 2003. Citing her tweet, even The Verge’s managing editor also pointed out how broken the ban implementation is:

Liz’s case is just the tip of the iceberg. Several other comics artist have reported about their arts being banned by Tumblr. Take a look at a couple of such reports:

In a related news, popular American actress Lili Pauline Reinhart (best known for portraying Betty Cooper on drama series Riverdale) also joined the chorus condemning the Tumblr porn ban.
Bad move on Tumblr’s part for banning graphic content. Apparently they underestimate the millenials’ need for artsy porn.
