[Video] Teacher to kids: Retweeting PewDiePie promotes antisemitism, genocide

Hardly a day goes by when PewDiePie isn’t in news. This is especially true these days, all thanks to the ‘subscribe to PewdiePie’ campaign, which has had fans doing all sorts of crazy and heartwarming stuff to garner more support for the Swedish YouTuber.

However, some fans have gone a step ahead, and done things that are not lawful. The T-Series website was barely up after being down for a couple of weeks, and today you’d have heard news about hacker fans of PewDiePie defacing the official website of reputed publication the Wall Street Journal.

But here, in this story, we are highlighting a new development, something which would raise questions about teachers’ role in school.

A Twitter user dubbed Rissian shared a video wherein we hear a person warning a group of kids against liking or retweeting stuff from the Swedish YouTuber. Rissian claims it’s their history teacher at school. Here’s the video:

And by every time you retweet one of these things, or every time you promote this idea, you are promoting ignorance, racism, genocide, antisemitism…..these are all things that you are putting forward when you are doing anything that promotes PewDiePie. So be careful about this. If someone decided to, if something would happen and PewDiePie were to be sued for this, you could be complicit if you retweet it, they can make you pay a fine as well, because you have officially published anti-Semitic things, so if you are republishing this stuff, you could get in trouble for it, be very aware that that is a real thing

While everybody is allowed to have personal views, a teacher discussing PewDiePie in a school class, saying promoting the YouTuber is promoting genocide and antisemitism, and concluding that retweeting his tweets could land people in trouble, isn’t correct to put it mildly.
