[Updated] Google may have officially confirmed Pixel 3 colors, and there's a surprise

Update (September 17): Looks like there is a fourth – pink – color as well.

Google’s Pixel series of phones is due for a refresh. The company has already confirmed a product launch event for October 9.

What more, Google has apparently even started teasing the Pixel 3 on its US online store.

But what we have for you now will definitely take your Pixel 3 excitement to the next level.

The Mountain View, California-based company might have confirmed color options for the upcoming flagship series.

A Japanese domain/website ‘comingsoon2018jp.withgoogle.com‘ has been spotted which shows the front panel of a Google branded phone, with text ‘Coming Soon’ over/alongside it.

What’s worth mentioning here is that the panels tilts depending on the movement of mouse or the direction in which you tilt your device (if you’re viewing this on a phone). Plus, the inner perimeter is also colorful – hint at the power button, maybe?

Also, if you try clicking or tapping on the ‘G’ present on the phone, you’ll observe the background color changes.

So what does that signify?

Well, it’s reasonable to assume that black, white/gray, and green/turquoise/aqua could very well be the color options in which the upcoming Pixel 3 smartphone would be available.

If you compare with previous generation Pixel phones, you’ll see aqua would be a new addition. And the party popper animation only over the aqua image kind of confirms this.

It’s worth mentioning that a white colored Pixel 3 has already been spotted in the wild before.

As for the site itself, it looks to be a genuine Google website, with links to the company’s privacy policy and terms of services at the bottom.
