Official surveys give key insights into OnePlus' software plans

OnePlus has a thriving and passionate community of users, something which allows the Chinese company to ask for feedback and suggestions from time to time. Data collected this way helps the firm to shape up its future course of action.

At this point, when it’s already been a few months since the OnePlus 6 arrived, the hottest topic of discussion among fans is about the next OnePlus smartphone (likely to be called OnePlus 6T).

While there are indications that OnePlus 6T exists, a recent development also revealed what the device may look like.

But what about the software? How is the company planning to advance OxygenOS? Well, we might have more than a clue at our hands now, thanks to a couple of official OnePlus surveys that we stumbled upon yesterday.

One of the biggest takeaways from these surveys is that the company may out a dedicated payments app. In fact, one complete survey is based on payments, containing many questions, including whether OnePlus should come up with a payments app, and what options should be there in it.

There are also questions that ask users about how they think their offline payment experience can be made better.

Moving on, the other survey is about productivity. It focuses on things like whether or not users want to have options to silent notifications from apps that they don’t use professionally, personally, or while studying.

It’s possible the company is looking to incorporate a smart feature that lets users mute app notifications at times when they don’t want them. Anyway, OnePlus also wants to know if customers are aware of user profiles and whether or not they actually use this feature.

It’s worth mentioning that OnePlus has currently opened this survey to its users in India, where the company recently became the top smartphone player premium segment. However, it’s likely that some of these features (if at all they materialize) will make their way to users around the globe.
