In the mid of May, we highlighted an Android 8.1 update triggered Android Auto compatibility issue on Moto X4 devices, wherein on plugging in the device (with the help of a USB), AA head unit in car threw a notification stating connect a compatible device.
What’s now coming to light is that Motorola has pushed out the fix for the problem in form of an update for Moto X4 units.
The confirmation came from a senior MotoAgent on the company’s official help forum. Here’s what exactly they said:
I am glad to inform you that the improvements have started rolling out in stages. You will just receive a notification on your phone once it is available.
Following the MotoAgent’s revelation, many of the affected Moto X4 users who received the update called the Android Auto-USB issue resolved for them. So in case you were facing the AA connectivity glitch on your Moto X4 unit, look out for the incoming update, for it carries the fix. And yes, do let us know how it goes.
