Earlier this week, the HydrogenOS 5.1.6 update for the OnePlus 6 started rolling out in China. Then an OxygenOS 5.1.6 test build got leaked on the Internet. And now, the final OxygenOS 5.1.6 update for the OnePlus 6 has started rolling out over-the-air.
So the update weighs in at 223MB, and brings along several changes (many of which were expected), including front/selfie camera portrait mode and Light Bokeh preview in portrait mode for rear camera.
The update also includes battery percentage icon, scheduled DnD, Idea VoLTE services in India, and dual-4G option in SIM and network settings.
There are some important improvements and fixes as well, including call quality optimizations, fix for dual-SIM card stability issues, and improved ringtone volume and sound quality. The update also adds a new smart answer for Bluetooth option that lets the device automatically answer incoming calls in Bluetooth mode.
Head to the Settings menu on your unit to check for the update, and if it isn’t yet available, you can either choose to wait, or download a VPN app, set it to Germany or Canada, and then check for the update – it should be there then.
