Update (May 19):
The download issue has been resolved.
Original story:
Both Oculus Go and Rift users are currently freaking out for they are unable to download any software updates or install new apps because of a bug that the company quickly acknowledged a few of hours back.
All that the affected users get to see are either download failure messages or they get redirected to the page displaying the following message:
The problem is being widely reported as both the company’s official help forum (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8), as well as the Oculus’ subreddit (1,2,3,4) are doused with complaints from those encountering download failures.
Oculus is aware and working on fix
As for what Oculus says, all the above linked threads on the company’s help forum have same message coming from a staff member stating:
We’re aware of the issue currently with downloads and are working to resolve it. Thanks for your patience.
We could also locate a thread on Oculus’ official help forum initiated by the company itself to address the complainants, and here’s what it reads:
Even Reddit has a similar thread posted by the official source to update those affected about the developments on the matter.
The company’s official Twitter account also confirmed the issue while reverting back to one of those affected recently.
Hi there. We're aware of an issue with downloads and are working on a solution now. Thanks for your patience.

While the official acknowledgement does bring in some relief, there’s currently no known timeline as to how long will the company take to resolve the problem. We hope Oculus does it sooner than later. Meanwhile, we are keeping a close watch, and will update as and when the fix goes live.
