Bluetooth issues on Google flagship devices have been long known. But, the company has been actively pushing out updates (every now and then), to reduce the intensity and seriousness of Bluetooth-related problems. Another effort made in the same direction is now coming to light.

With the April security patch that started rolling out this week, Pixel users may get to see improvements in Bluetooth performance. Google employee Orrin took to the official Pixel User Community, wherein they tweaked their earlier post with the updated information revealing the news. Here’s what they said

There were a number of bluetooth improvements that were included in 7.1.2. This started rolling out through an over-the-air update a few days ago, and will continue for the next week or so. For those of you that have received the 7.1.2 OTA, please let us know about your experiences here.

If you take a quick look at the Pixel/Nexus Security Bulletin page – April 2018, it was published on April 02 and updated on April 04, the same day when Orrin informed the Bluetooth affected users about improvements. So it could be possible that the company updated the April security bulletin web page a couple of days after releasing the April patch.

While it’s appeasing that Google is making continuous efforts to enhance Bluetooth functionality on Pixel phones, we can’t comment on why is it taking so long to eradicate the issues from root and give users a glitch-free Bluetooth functionality.

Have you received the 7.1.2 OTA update on your Pixel or Pixel 2 unit? Are you seeing any improvements related to Bluetooth performance? Thumbs up or thumbs down, do let u know in the comments section below.
