A couple of weeks back, Xiaomi temporarily stopped the roll out of the Mi A1 Oreo update due to some issues, one of which was officially acknowledged later. Thankfully, there wasn’t much of a delay as the update again started rolling out last week.

However, now, it appears that the roll out has again been suspended. A ‘Moderator’ on the Chinese company’s official forums revealed this yesterday. The reason for the suspension remains the same this time around as well: bugs.

Mi A1 updates will resume in the next few days as we fix a few bugs from the last update. We are committed to providing the best possible experience on Mi A1 and thank you for your feedback and patience

Well, looks like something is really wrong with the team at Xiaomi handling Oreo for the company’s first Android One smartphone. There’s currently no information on when the roll out will resume, although we really hope that happens sooner than later, and without any more issues this time around.
