Update: Canceled update roll outs for both OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 5 have resumed. See new announcements here and here.
Original story follows:
The year 2018, it appears, has begun on a bad note for Chinese smartpone company OnePlus. After the OnePlus 5 Oreo update, it’s now coming to light that the Oreo beta build for the OnePlus 5T has been pulled as well. Here’s what a OnePlus staff member said on the company’s official forums:
Opps…We found an issue in the build. The download link will be updated later today.
Similar to what they said in case of the OnePlus 5 Oreo update, the company has just said there’s an issue with the OnePlus 5T Oreo beta build, without providing any further explanation.
If you see the update announcement page (link at the bottom), you’ll observe that the link to download the full ROM has been disabled, and it’s reasonable to assume that the OTA roll out has been halted as well.
However, OnePlus is promising the download link will be updated later today. Let’s hope there are no further delays. For those who aren’t aware, the OnePlus 3/3T Oreo update was also pulled after there were multiple complaints from those who received it.
