Virtual Assistants, as most of you may agree, play a significant role in making smartphones even more smarter. From Google’s Assistant to Apple’s Siri and Samsung’s Bixby, all know their job well. But as is the case with any piece of software, each one of them has broken functionalities as well. One such matter now coming to light is that the ‘Bixby briefing’ feature is not working as intended.
For those of you naive, ‘Bixby briefing’ is nothing but the virtual assistant reading aloud the current time, weather, and news when an alarm goes off. A quick look at the following video will give you a good idea on what exactly ‘Bixby briefing’ does:
Now coming back to the issue, what’s being put across by many on the official Samsung help forum (since August this year) is a moody behavior of ‘Bixby briefing.’ While some say that Bixby Voice misses out on news information, others say it doesn’t even inform them about weather after the alarm.
What’s more, in some of the cases briefing skips both weather as well as news, and in others it shows random hit and miss behavior with different alarms.
Some also get to see messages like Bixby has problems connecting, cannot connect, or so.
Some users even took to Twitter to bring the matter the notice:

The matter has been reported for quite long, and Samsung moderators have been actively involved in the discussion over the matter. After gathering the needful information, one of the moderators finally acknowledged the issue yesterday:
I’m reporting this information and will let you know once we find a fix for this
Though the problem has been acknowledged, there’s no information as to how long will it take to fix. We hope Samsung does that sooner than later. Meanwhile, we are keeping a close watch on all related developments, and will keep you posted.
