Experiencing image loading issues with your Google Drive? Well, you might not be alone. Of late, several Android users have reported that Drive’s app is not showing all photos, as it gets into endless loading when user starts viewing images in full size. While some load successfully, others keep loading forever, displaying a black screen with empty thumbnails all the while.

In some cases, the images do eventually load, but this results in app crash. Some report that first few pictures load fine, but the app is not showing all photos. Eventually loading slows down and a black page with no pictures but triangle icons is all that can be seen.

This issue was first reported in October, 2016. On January 14, 2017 an expert from Google Products updates users saying:

“Let me investigate this issue with the team. I’ll get back to you once I have an update”

But they did not bother to update after that. The issue continues to be reported till date. It is reasonable to assume that the company is aware of the bug, but an official acknowledgement or a fix (if it indeed is a bug) is still awaited.

If you have been encountering the aforementioned issue, keep a check here to catch up with the updates timely. Meanwhile, you can try hand on the suggested workarounds like
• Clear Drive’s cache and cookie
• Reinstall the app
